The Farinera Girona Foundation, founded in 2025, experienced its first major public event, driving the local region forward through the Entrepreneurship Programme, and on 23 April, Saint George’s Day, we celebrated our first public event: the Social Action and Social Entrepreneurship Awards. A day that highlighted projects and individuals who go to great lengths to transform the world through impactful entrepreneurship.

Espiga Trophy and Foundation Grants

With the support of Plataforma Educativa, the event sought to recognise stakeholders in the local region who, through their activity, foster social innovation and commitment to the community. During the event, the Espiga Trophy was awarded, which this year was granted to four benchmark companies in terms of social responsibility: Noel Alimentaria, Joaquim Albertí, Camps Motor and Serveis Panella. Four clear examples of how the business world can have a positive and tangible impact on the local region.

Furthermore, Entrepreneurship with a Social Impact was announced, a joint initiative with the “la Caixa” Foundation, created with the aim of supporting business projects that strive to generate real social value.
